In 2019, unattended cooking was the #1 cause of deadly apartment fires in Toronto’s low-income housing neighborhoods. We placed huge outdoor murals on the sides of the very buildings in these high-risk communities – about as hyper-targeted as you can get. Digital and social rounded out our efforts and we saw a 47% reduction in fires during that time. Proving while Fire Happens Fast, change can too.
